ROLE — OCTO MEETING
ALL ROLES ON DECK
welcome, DESIGNATIONS.
On MONDAY afternoon, some hours after landing on Acquada, then the new amenities to the ship, our super secret living designations will receive a message from Senior Crew. There is a silent ping, so as not to give away anything to those they might be around.
We have decided to combine our meetings together this week and we have objectives we would like to accomplish. They may seem lofty, but with joined efforts we seek to make progress this week.
Sr. Crew
They have seen the command room before in passing. It's the room where the senior crew often check all sort of stuff from metrics, diagnostics, navigation, supply, inventory... You get the point. There are a number of terminals, all of which the current junior crew roles know they do not normally have access to.
There waits all eight senior officers, pensive and tense.

TL;DR
This is a communal role meeting with new objectives for the eight roles. While not every role will have a specialized task, roles are free to group up on tasks to better processes and increase success rate! Roles may collaborate to test methods or run trials in this post.

RAT CAMERAS
A different four will show that they disappear somewhere, a void that is dark and vast, and with a soft noise they drop among a bunch of trash and scrap. Instantly, three of them go out, but one struggles to keep connection. It statics with chromatic aberrations very often, sometimes obscuring the whole scene, but it is clear enough once in a while. In the short periods, they can see... Absolutely no one except for one very clear figure who is looking here and there, then at the camera.
However, the camera doesn't stay grounded on the garbage. It is lifted up? And taken... Based on the movement, it seems like someone is carrying and walking with it. In passing, they can see Vash just letting this happen.
What comes into view is a location... It's a strip club, specifically from the pauses of clarity it's a rat strip club. Everyone gets to see a 6' rat pole dance for maybe three seconds before the feed cuts.
If we need to know which rat survived this long, it was Shu's rat. ]

RAT CAMERAS 2: THE RATTENING
two of the rats get stuck deep in the garbage, and any time you check their feeds you'll see that they've just gotten more and more stuck in the trash. there will be no retrieving them, but maybe you can monitor their progress and see if they get anywhere?

it stays on, with constant chromatic aberrations tearing the feed and obscuring your view. there's no blond to greet you when the feed picks up something else, but rather... a soft sniffing that grows increasingly louder, like when you put a microphone in front of a pet and it sticks its whole nose up against it. suddenly, the rat camera is lifted up, up, up -
and you are face-to-face, so to speak, with a 6' rat. this rat turns your little friend this way and that, and you get a brief view of a many-eyed rubber rat below before the 6' rat goes from bipedal to quadrupedal and scampers off with both the ratcien and the unknown ratfigy. the feed dies there. ]

W6 WEDNESDAY, PRE MINI-EVENT
Your rats had an update. Some of the videos are too corrupted to get a proper look at, and it's not something we can fix on our end, but you did get a couple of hits.
[ the first: charatles, ratya, and ratnise are making their way through the regular trash. good for them! the feeds are active and there's no aberrations or glitches or static there.
the following are all short blips, feed ripping, scrolling, staticky, and filled with aberrations across the color spectrum. it's hard to make out many details, but there's some things of note.
ratcien bears witness to a 6' rat sitting and knitting.
shurat is shown the full glory of a photo of luke, framed and hanging on a rough hewn wooden wall, wrapped in red shibari rope. why.
ratlace and ratma both show pulsing ... somethings. ratlace's is a five second clip and is the most distorted, so you can only really make out that it's wet and organic. whereas ratma's looks almost like machinery and lasts a few seconds longer - long enough to make out that an egg is deposited out of a funnel. why, but with feeling.
arathur has a strange feed, but his is the longest - looks like he was the other, successful survivor. in the background of a computer screen, you can see a tall shape that could very well be vash, where it looks like he's talking with thin air, seemingly consoling whoever or whatever he's speaking to. there's not even a rat there???
but you can also see the computer screen. we will not be giving you a clearer image of this so good luck. ]

This little guy had about three starring roles in the camera footage. There's something general of note in every camera feed - the haze specifically, but check the Bridge footage first. It's the most interesting.
