welcome, DESIGNATIONS.

On MONDAY afternoon, some hours after landing on Acquada, then the new amenities to the ship, our super secret living designations will receive a message from Senior Crew. There is a silent ping, so as not to give away anything to those they might be around.

We have decided to combine our meetings together this week and we have objectives we would like to accomplish. They may seem lofty, but with joined efforts we seek to make progress this week.

Sr. Crew

They have seen the command room before in passing. It's the room where the senior crew often check all sort of stuff from metrics, diagnostics, navigation, supply, inventory... You get the point. There are a number of terminals, all of which the current junior crew roles know they do not normally have access to.

There waits all eight senior officers, pensive and tense.

Roles are free to use this post across the IC week.

TL;DR

This is a communal role meeting with new objectives for the eight roles. While not every role will have a specialized task, roles are free to group up on tasks to better processes and increase success rate! Roles may collaborate to test methods or run trials in this post.

The NPCs have posed that immediately they'd like to focus on:

🚀 Preventing murder and death this week.
🚀 Devise a plan to return the dead and implement it. We can pose Friday possibly as being the day to organize with the public if IC help is wanted/needed!

NPCs are interested in other related topics such as the origin of pink haze, CEM waves, etc. and are open to performing investigations or tasks to better understand the situation on the Eudora.

The tesseract acts very much like the High Dimension Core from my home, which is to say that it is a proper source if we follow Blake's journal.

Interdimensional energy source should be covered on this side of the plane.

If energy is not our concern, then our problem is mostly creating the calibrated beacons, yes?

We can send them things through the trash. So we'll just need to make two matching ones.

Correct. [ He crosses their arms. ] But they would also need an energy source as well.

[ Squinting... Because this does just sound insane to him. ]

Is the trash a consistent and effective way for delivery?

The dead got the food I sent them without issue and within a day or so, from the sound of it.

So we... figure out a beacon and drop it through the trash.

[ trash saving the day. ]

I find it hard to believe that there would be a direct path from waste disposal without some caveats.

[ But that's just him. ]

Well, probably. I don't love sending things through the trash myself, so I'm certainly amenable to better ideas.

We should still keep the waste disposal in mind, seeing that it already has the history with the other side somehow.

Yeah. Speaking of waste, though, Scrap might be a possible venue. Some people have theorized they can access where the deceased are.

[impatiens]

Really? And here we're using some weird CEM-scienced podium from the church?

[riverbeans]

Is that what you use? [sheepishly.] Well, we know the dead are in what's essentially the "belly" of the ship, if this ship were like an animal. And Scrap says they collect all the things "this whale of a ship" leaves behind, so it does sound connected.

Though I can't take credit for the theory. Yuri and Shoma were discussing it.

[impatiens]

When people ruined the church, we had to do our job in another place...

Oh, that's interesting. I always took it as some weird metaphor of theirs.

Could be. But, well. Scrap, trash, waste disposal, path to the dead.

Maybe we can to talk to them this time! They're here until the ship decides we need to leave.

I know Rodya and the little miss have wanted to ambush them...

I'd be careful because I heard they're generous about how many bullets they shoot into a person.

Perhaps we could ask them if they have something that could be of use?

The trash is consistent as far as I could tell, but it might be a question for Viktor.

It's best to be thorough.

[ So he's inclined to asking and more testing. ]

We should send a good deal of items through - labeled and numbered - and ask them to report back.

Is there another way you can think of that we could reach their side? If we are all so opposed to me removing my soul.

What about Scrap? There's been some theorizing that they can access where the deceased are.

Good idea!

So far it sounds like the trash? I know the other officers and I also get dreams from the dead, but... That doesn't seem very usable. [ Think thonk. ] I'd rather no one personally go into the trash, though.
