ROLE — OCTO MEETING

welcome, DESIGNATIONS.

On MONDAY afternoon, some hours after landing on Acquada, then the new amenities to the ship, our super secret living designations will receive a message from Senior Crew. There is a silent ping, so as not to give away anything to those they might be around.

We have decided to combine our meetings together this week and we have objectives we would like to accomplish. They may seem lofty, but with joined efforts we seek to make progress this week.

Sr. Crew

They have seen the command room before in passing. It's the room where the senior crew often check all sort of stuff from metrics, diagnostics, navigation, supply, inventory... You get the point. There are a number of terminals, all of which the current junior crew roles know they do not normally have access to.

There waits all eight senior officers, pensive and tense.

Roles are free to use this post across the IC week.

TL;DR

This is a communal role meeting with new objectives for the eight roles. While not every role will have a specialized task, roles are free to group up on tasks to better processes and increase success rate! Roles may collaborate to test methods or run trials in this post.

The NPCs have posed that immediately they'd like to focus on:

🚀 Preventing murder and death this week.
🚀 Devise a plan to return the dead and implement it. We can pose Friday possibly as being the day to organize with the public if IC help is wanted/needed!

NPCs are interested in other related topics such as the origin of pink haze, CEM waves, etc. and are open to performing investigations or tasks to better understand the situation on the Eudora.

So what do we have? I've got the multitool. And an empty gun, which, not that helpful for a breakin. Do we have a map, or... Should we just start crawling around in vents blindly?

[ she's not, like, opposed to doing that. ]

[ seated and resting, mostly, gan's got bandages wrapped around his jaw and neck entirely. nice, crisp, and fresh, and a drug-drowsy kind of energy as he tracks things. ]

Working on a map, if we can get one. Adrastea might be able to draw up one if we can't get the system to free it up. [ rubs his jaw as he thinks. ] If we can stop the killings, I bet we could safely loosen the restrictions on weapons from the armory. Maybe get you some bullets if nothing else.

[ swats his hand away from his jaw. don't touch that. ]

... I'm not expecting a gunfight since we're going there to talk—and besides that she's a friggin' ship so where would I even shoot—but I won't say no to actually having bullets.

obediently lowers hand so she doesn't swat him again and io can't threaten him for it. ]

Might not be her you'd have to shoot at. If she's sick, and the - [ gestures at where reality fucked up ]- keeps doing things, better safe than sorry.

... I might... have you hold onto any bullets, Thursday night. Take them back Friday morning. Just in case.

[ what if they don't stop a murder from happening. what if she murders someone. probably better she not have such an easy way of doing it. ]

It would be nice to talk to Eudora before the whole team meeting thing tomorrow, but... You're obviously not in any condition to go adventuring today. [ plus they're waiting on a map. ]

Took a bit longer than I wanted it to, but - Io has to do localized anesthesia and the good stuff for me. I don't react well when I'm put under or into the pods, so we had to pick a battle on which was the lesser evil. I'll go into a pod after this meeting is done, do hour increments.

But having the meeting tomorrow might give us an attack plan, metaphorically or literally.

I'm open to it if anyone outside of this group has ideas for how to break in or how to help her, but I kind of doubt it.

[ but she shrugs, because she can wait. she knows that's safer, with him. like this. ]

Want me to keep watch when you're in the pods? [ she is not sure exactly what his concern is there but she's been chasing people down to use them this whole game so. she's used to it, and if it helps, fine. ]

[ a wee laugh, and it ends with a small petal cough that's ( checks chroma colors ) an anxious olive green. ]

I figure we'll get a lot more ideas for that in particular out of this meeting, but tomorrow might help. If nothing else, I can be ready for us to go crawling in some vents after that meeting.

[ dumps the petals into empty coffee cup so as not to litter. ]

... I wouldn't mind that. Just a lot of bad memories.
