E.G.O. RULES

Characters will start with E.G.O., a special equipment created from an Abnormality which allows the user to tap into said Abnormality's powers and use them in their favour. They are present on your character as an item of some form, typically as some manner of clothes or item; see your individual E.G.O. info for more details.

E.G.O. can be activated once your character has three bars of emotion/energy, which will be tracked by the following UI.

RODION

There will be two types of energy—positive and negative. Positive energy (PE) is gained through successful actions, while negative energy (NE) is gained through failures.

The ratio of PE:NE in possession at the time of activating E.G.O. may determine what kind of effects or traits your equipment will manifest. Using E.G.O. with NE in possession has the chance to cause a Corrosion, which may have adverse and/or unpredictable effects.

If new PE/NE is gained while the gauge is full, held PE/NE will be discarded in order of oldest; e.g. if character already holds

[ Alright squad! You're about to wake up for one of the weirdest days of your life. You were on the ship and conducting your regular business in the morning, whatever that may be -- and then you just so happen to open a door. As you do, right? Except beyond it is a beautifully strange sight, something dimensionally astral that sucks you in before you even have a moment to appreciate it (or run away).

And that's the last thing you remember as you come to in a bus. If you know what a bus even is, space-folks and fantasy-oldes. The interior looks like this, but a bit more comfortable since it's only you three in the back, and four other figures up in the front. Two of the figures are discussing something quietly, while the other two -- your bus driver and someone else -- are sitting quietly. The bus is traveling, uh, alarmingly fast, but you don't feel too strange about it.

You retain your memories of the ship, but you also acknowledge that you signed up to be here on this bus to retrieve something, in exchange for something quite important to you. You're feeling a little...:

Also, upon your persons are three things:
One is a starting weapon of your choice, something simple yet effective. It can be a gun, but it will have limited bullets. Otherwise it can be like... an axe, a lance, a hammer... whatever, just something to defend yourself with when push comes to shove.

Two is a strange pocketwatch, whose design looks like this (just the head part). You can tell time with it, but you also know that in the absolute worst case scenario, you can come back from anything -- as long as you have this.

Three is your E.G.O. equipment, which is some manner of artifact that resembles your assigned E.G.O. listed above. This can be say, just the Capote cape, or a little metallic bracelet, or a solitary Santa hat; it doesn't have to be the entire fit unless you want to be a little weird. (Meme voice) the design is very human.
