It's certainly a way to keep one busy. I'm afraid I'm not so keen on a good handful of these myself, I know of a few card games... mahjong... with such unlimited choices here, makes me feel like a child again.
[ It's said with some light amusement. ] What of you? Anything familiar that strikes out?
[ well coming out to meet lovelace, yay... nature... touches grass. they'll just give a brief lift of the hand to her as they make their way through the snow, they are bundled up for the cooooold. hey, lovelace. ]
[ the word is fun let me say it one more time... bundled... ]
Yeah? ...Where's home?
[ off we go! into the snow! io seems to glance at a small map from time to time, but the landscape is actually quite nice for being Cold - big thick trees, a sky that ripples on occasion with a little bit of the magnetic fields overhead as an aurora. ]
[ do you two hang out together anywhere that ISN'T the observalounge???
anyways, ganymede stands at the window, looking out at the world of volk before they have to take off. he's got his hands on his hips and his helmet settled on the bench behind him, although one hand does come up to rub at the side of his jaw in an attempt to get some rust off of it that he can see in his faint reflection. ]
Ha... I think Io's threatened the same thing to the whole crew, so you'd be in good company.
[ heh does look at her, though, curious. ]
... a data log? I haven't seen too many of them, just heard about them more than anything else. Seen a few things that I think Rodya left out as pamphlets that I thought were litter at first.
I understand that the pods are creepy, and we have too many people for too few of them, and people are freaked out. But I don't see why people are so avoidant.
And yeah, we're trying to get everything out in public, generally. And anonymously. But... Here.
I can't judge too much... [ it's him, he's people. ] But I do try to not make more work for Io, or anyone that helps out in the medbay, if I can help it. And if we let injuries just fester... it's not great.
[ but he accepts the log curiously, looking, and - ]
... this was almost a month in, if I remember right. [ frowning ] The first one, I mean. It's definitely mine - I think the second is probably Metis. Soniya wasn't either of our workmates, though. I think... she was Amalthea's.
She died after - [ frowning deeply ] - after the concourse ring malfunctioned. After another crewmate was crushed in it, in front of her and someone else.
[ we're just sitting here covered in acid burns and missing a leg. he just seems very dead inside. in any case, he prepares himself to get yelled at. yippee. ]
[ oh no... help... he just kind of makes a little face like :nyeh: but yeah he's in the medbay don't worry. it looks like he's finished up some stuff. ]
Making the rounds, I see.
No, you don't. Have to take care of getting my leg port replaced, but I'll be in shape for tonight.
This ship's full of people who just love to limp around and bleed. I despise it.
... it's... not too rare. [ hums ] Some are just more rigorous than others. I'd have rathered they had the extra body to assist in... what happened there.
I don't understand what their problem is. I get it, the pods are creepy and the tech doesn't normally exist for half of them. [ way more than half of them. ] But everyone's a bunch of masochists, I swear to God.
[ hrm. ]
Probably for the better you were there, all things considered. [ ... ] What happened?
W1 MONDAY
There are a lot more than I expected to find... [ They raise their head. ] Ah, Lady Lovelace. Come to take a look for yourself?

[ and she figures she should get to know the senior crew a little more. ]

[ It's said with some light amusement. ] What of you? Anything familiar that strikes out?

[ she will peer over the options, but... shrugs. ] Eh. We played a lot of cards. But there's nothing wrong with a classic boardgame.
no subject
[ A small laugh. ]
Do you have a favorite?
no subject
[ when you're in space. she's used to no internet in space. ]
... Not really. Anything besides Funzo is fine by me.
no subject
[ Like literally. Wait.. ]
.."Funzo"?
[ Said in the same kind of manner of grandpa trying to say the word selfie. ]

Morning.
Fresh air... feels good after that last drop-off.
no subject
Yeah. Feels a little closer to home.

Hey, captain. You check up on our returns?
no subject
Yeah. I think I'm going to start handcuffing people to the healing pods.
[ ... ]
I have something to show you. Not sure if you've already seen it, but. Figured I might as well check and see if it jogs your memory any.

[ and. hmm. ]
It's like that... feeling I got with the last captain's log. Knowing someone young had been hurt by the concourse. So Soniya must have seen that.

Captain.

I'm going to assume I don't need to wrangle you into using a healing pod before curfew. [ this is a threat. ]

[ but she does it every time, so. whatever. it's not like she cares about any of you people or anything. ]
... It's rare for the senior crew to get dragged along.
