[ off we go! into the snow! io seems to glance at a small map from time to time, but the landscape is actually quite nice for being Cold - big thick trees, a sky that ripples on occasion with a little bit of the magnetic fields overhead as an aurora. ]
[ parting some shrubs and into the woods we go. the trees like to crowd, their boughs heavy with snow and leaves. there an immediate change in amount of light available through the canopy. but it's still navigable.
I remember going to school in the city. Didn't like it. The old ways feel sturdier...
[ it means there are a couple of glowing pinecone-shaped things hanging from a number of the boughs the further they head in. they glimmer in mostly soft, dull blues, the edges flared out a bit more, but some are flecked with... pink, curling parts that drape down a little in varying spots. ]
Mmm. It is. Some would argue otherwise, that there's no point, why not be content with what you know. [ reaching up because tall and pulling down a branch lower for both of them to look! ]
But there's so much to learn. That anything can be stubborn enough to survive the cold like this - we'd be remiss to not witness it.
[ fascination is fascination. they tilt their head a little before releasing it carefully to just kind of bounce a bit from the spring of the branch. ]
Whoever told you that isn't wrong. There's much out here, in the wider universe, more than I ever thought would exist.
