I understand that the pods are creepy, and we have too many people for too few of them, and people are freaked out. But I don't see why people are so avoidant.

Who was it... [ hm. pulling up his I.R.I.S. to access the crew roster and scroll through names. ] Someone younger, someone maybe close to Soniya... She was around the same age as me, if I remember right, so maybe younger than her -
[ oh, he pauses, scrolling back up from where he'd been going. ]
Dev Clarick. They were the one who died on the concourse. Someone's listed that down, so - someone figured that out. They were our youngest crewmate at 19.
Can't say Voltron was much better, but that was... just as out of our hands, as this rotation was. [ The Call doesn't care how old you are when it enlists you. ] I think Dev signed on willingly - legitimately, not our rewritten memories version. But I can see why you got the feeling of someone so young dying being so upsetting now.
