It seems like he might be relieved Vash is whole and okay, but NO. It's because KNIVES KNOWS THIS INFORMATION NOW AND HE DOESN'T HAVE TO STUMBLE THROUGH LYING.]
How are we going to get him out of there? Are... Are you going to use the tesseract?
[ To be honest, it's better that he doesn't freak out... So it is a good time to know. You did well, Viktor. You are still a little kitty-pet in Knives' eyes. ]
He should be able to walk through the rift fine as his own. [ ... ] The plan does involve a power source, ideally using energy from another dimension.
He will. He craves human approval and validation like his life depends on it.
[ Knives knows and he's mostly neutral on it, granted of course disgusted. Vash really is pathetic. This does mean that Knives' opinion on people would go down. It is rough to look like you're being reasonably, but you're judgmental. ]
As long as he returns alive, that is what matters.
[ Overall, he's less... Obviously emotional and volatile outside the dream. ]
But--I don't even know how the tesseract works. I don't even know how you as Plants work. Anything could go wrong. What if he is trapped on that side? He should return alive and unhurt.
[He makes a face, lowering his hands.]
He was kind to me. I would never want to leave him stuck there.
From my study on the tesseract, it works similarly to the core I used before, so Vash is compatible to the formula and he's familiar enough to help them if they need it on the other side. I imagine they will have other resources they can use, if they decide to not use him.
It will work.
[ More that it has to. He crosses his arm. ]
Vash will also strive to return to protect you all from me.
[The way Knives says this is questionable and sort of leaves a bitter taste in his mouth, but he isn't sure if he wants to question it while they are not a dream.
Viktor finally gets stabbed and it's for real.]
Why does he resist you...? Because of the... human thing? Because you dislike us?
[ As long as Vash follows without resisting too bad, which he's playing out how it'll go when they meet... There are worse things than physical pain, though. I guess Viktor can just imagine it, he has seen too much of Knives' psyche. Love... Can become such a twisted thing, especially mixed with fear. ]
If that is what you want, then watch and observe quietly.
[ This is also just delivering Vash, isn't it? To let it happen, to look away, and to not get involved.
It's a way to survive. ]
Encourage and tell others the same when we leave and perhaps we can be without casualties.
[Oh fucking BOY. This is going to be a shit show. He swallows quietly, looking slightly hopeless in the face of this.
Great. Now he's going to be the bad guy if he tries to get everyone to not act a fool about this. Though it isn't he wants to hand Vash over so much as he... just... trusts Vash to be able to handle... all of this. It's Vash's business. If Vash is anywhere near as strong as Knives, he thinks Vash can settle it.
Also, Vash has love and support, and as much as he almost lost the care for those things, he has realized they are important.]
I don't know what about Vash makes you believe in him, Viktor, but I'm glad you are holding onto hope. They are twins, so they should be equals in the cosmic horror aspect. ]
Vash likely told them to leave me to him, didn't he? It shouldn't be too difficult.
[ Predictable. It's just a sad scenario, overall. ]
[Somehow the idiocy is the charm that belies the overall theme of being able to conquer misdirected intentions. I realized I forgot to say the earlier comment about love made me remember I have an asw for you.]
He did, but so many people here are stubborn.
[He is thinking about how he took too long to talk to Vash, and then when he was going to try, they somehow yanked his stupid, malnourished ass back to this side. Frustrating.]
W6 WEDNESDAY
Have you savored your time alive and returned?
no subject
Yes... [Glancing at him.] They're working on the others, right?
no subject
[ As promised. ]
If the scientist's formula is worth anything, it will work.
no subject
...What about Vash?
no subject
[ When isn't it about Vash? ]
no subject
[They're just gonna pull back a bunch of rats.]
no subject
I decrypted the rest of the video while everyone was transfixed on the revival pieces. It looked like he was taken by a rift in Waste Disposal.
[ Super annoyed at absolutely no one except Vash. ]
He's on the other side, whole.
no subject
It seems like he might be relieved Vash is whole and okay, but NO. It's because KNIVES KNOWS THIS INFORMATION NOW AND HE DOESN'T HAVE TO STUMBLE THROUGH LYING.]
How are we going to get him out of there? Are... Are you going to use the tesseract?

He should be able to walk through the rift fine as his own. [ ... ] The plan does involve a power source, ideally using energy from another dimension.
So yes.
no subject
Viktor gives Knives a sort of dubious look.]
...Is... Vash... going to be... the power source?
[KNIVES?]
no subject
[ HOW DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO KNOW? ]
no subject
Whoo. Okay. Okay.
[Lowering his head, but not his hands. They fold together over the bridge of his nose. His expression is a little GOD!! but the panic is internal.]
...
I really have nothing! I don't for a second think Vash wouldn't just offer himself as a power source if they realized!
no subject
[ Knives knows and he's mostly neutral on it, granted of course disgusted. Vash really is pathetic. This does mean that Knives' opinion on people would go down. It is rough to look like you're being reasonably, but you're judgmental. ]
As long as he returns alive, that is what matters.
[ Overall, he's less... Obviously emotional and volatile outside the dream. ]
Why are you so concerned?
[ shut up knives viktor is right to be ]
no subject
[He makes a face, lowering his hands.]
He was kind to me. I would never want to leave him stuck there.
no subject
It will work.
[ More that it has to. He crosses his arm. ]
Vash will also strive to return to protect you all from me.
no subject
Yes. He told me to run away. [He should.] I wish the two of you wouldn't fight over something as stupid as all of us.
Just take Vash and go.
[Vash would hate and never allow this, but shut up.]
no subject
I wish he wouldn't resist, either.
[ They both want the same thing, really. ]
Then none of you will make a fuss if I take him.
no subject
Viktor finally gets stabbed and it's for real.]
Why does he resist you...? Because of the... human thing? Because you dislike us?
no subject
[ They're still spotty, but for a second those blade extensions show themselves wrapping around his suit. Only for a second, though. ]
You are all so very precious to him for whatever reason. He won't stand for my cause, even though I do this for us. [ A sigh... ] It doesn't matter.
no subject
He is frowning.]
Please don't hurt him is all I ask. I can't... stop you from doing whatever you will try, and I probably couldn't stop him either.
Just don't hurt him, and don't hurt any of us. We just want to leave.
no subject
[ As long as Vash follows without resisting too bad, which he's playing out how it'll go when they meet... There are worse things than physical pain, though. I guess Viktor can just imagine it, he has seen too much of Knives' psyche. Love... Can become such a twisted thing, especially mixed with fear. ]

[ Make everyone a bystander. ]
no subject
Great. Now he's going to be the bad guy if he tries to get everyone to not act a fool about this. You already know they won't listen.
no subject
I don't know what about Vash makes you believe in him, Viktor, but I'm glad you are holding onto hope. They are twins, so they should be equals in the cosmic horror aspect. ]
Vash likely told them to leave me to him, didn't he? It shouldn't be too difficult.
[ Predictable. It's just a sad scenario, overall. ]
It's simple.
no subject
He did, but so many people here are stubborn.
[He is thinking about how he took too long to talk to Vash, and then when he was going to try, they somehow yanked his stupid, malnourished ass back to this side. Frustrating.]
no subject
Such is mankind's folly... But I suppose it's shared with other species.
[ Some of you are not human, he knows. ]
Did you ever talk to my brother? I'm curious.
[ you left him the debussy without explanation ]
