We're trained as pack hunters. Harry them them to slow them down, exhaust them so they can't fight back, then converge and finish them one by one. Not surprising when half your instructors are werewolves, I suppose.
Then you should have no problem in being able to defend yourself. It has only been a bit of time since this tour has begun, but the less rusty you are the better.

[ he should! he is, after all, the BBEG of his campaign. he'll pick up a second blade, a matching scimitar, and then without responding immediately ducking and whirling to do a large sweep with the swords at him. apparently there's no honor in the ring for him.
He's incredibly fast and relentless, the strategy generally to stay in as tight quarters as possible to keep doling out punishment at close range, and he's not above dirty tactics - trying to trip or disarm, willing to drop a sword to have a hand free to grab and yank or scratch. he can take a good beating without slowing down either, he's a front-line fighter in the battle strategy, meant to soak up damage without missing a step.
there's definitely openings though - he's well-trained, but used to being able to use magic to his advantage, and lately overly reliant on the power of the Somnovem, who clearly aren't here. he'll drop form to mistakenly try a gesture that's meant to evoke something that doesn't come, and gets frustrated easily when he finds himself slowing down. ]
[ Gold eyes narrow as a second one is picked up, and it comes suddenly - were it anyone else, it would've left nasty results. They are quick to dart to the side with their leg kicking the ends of their spear their way to take hold of. The blades do catch a bit of their uniform and if it leaves any further damage he doesn't react.
Europa depends on speed, quick and fast, keeping and preferring that close range even with the use of their preferred polearm fighting style. Giving just enough strength between each and swing despite their size. Enough stamina to keep up, could go at it for hours but they have their own openings - a pain in their beck where the metallic wings are attached, when something else makes his movements stutter.
Otherwise, he takes advantages left open on Lucien's side, nobody else will hold back and so Europa does not as well. ]
