GR͏∀VE̴Y͞A̵ЯD 13 DECOMMISSIONED
t̀h̡e u͝nḑerbe̸l͞l̵y ̸o͜f th̴è ̡şh̷i͠p.
Crushing pressure is the initial sensation you can recall upon awakening. The stench of fetid, hot steam fills your nose, motes of dust and dirt floating upwards to cling to your skin. Down you are pulled to the cold ground, and all at once you realize you have forgotten to breathe. As you gasp back to life, you are flung onto a pile of scraps and trash, as the enormous machine that spat you out grumbles a little, and then goes silent. You are whole somehow, alive... but at what cost?
Popping out of the grinder, you look yourself over and find that any injuries you may have incurred during your death will be healed. While the scars that remain from the process will serve as a stark reminder, you will be able to get up on your own two feet without issue.
Thin, tapering metal (?) claws unhook from overhead and lower themselves, proceeding to guide you around. Your clothing starts sticking uncomfortably to your skin in the humidity of this strange, new place. Overhead you can hear the tinny humming of flickering lights overhead, arranged in a singular, thin strip and snaking around the serpentine halls. Along exposed pipes, wires, and the walls, a rust-colored substance creeps in web-like patterns, climbing towards the ceiling lights.
The deep grinding and groaning of the ship begin to meld into one low, deep moan from all around. It dips and rises in pitch, and becomes sickening to listen to if you focus on it for too long. Maybe, it's the ship's way of saying Welcome, to the underbelly of the CSS Eudora, home of the decommissioned.

Some things to keep in mind, while amongst the dead:
💀 Mini-events will be posted on WEDNESDAY at 3 PM EST / 12 PM PST and 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST, and are due at the same time they are for the living. Any changes to the schedule will be announced in the graveyard channels.
💀 Weekly effects will still hit you here, in the belly of the ship. Mods will make sure to announce any special changes based on being the graveyard; otherwise, please assume everything is 1:1!
💀 While not perfect, there is a healing factor in place. It is extremely sluggish, uncomfortable, and does not negate the fact that you're injured and likely in pain. If the injury is too severe, you might wind up dying from it if left untreated. Again. If you have a pre-existing condition like an illness that has been exacerbated by factors beyond your control, you will find that for the time being these symptoms are at their most minor.
💀 That said, while double death is possible, you'll find yourself reviving after 4 hours fully healed, but feeling like complete garbage for the rest of the day. Message your mods if you find yourself getting killed while dead, though! There might be a special surprise involved.
💀 Your possessions, minus clothing besides what you're wearing now, can be found in the bunk pods and their storage. Yes, while it might not include clothes, it does include any Omegamart Promotional Items, Scrap purchases, home items, etc that you were in possession of. if you had a lot of things, the cubby might jam or have difficulty closing. Better organize. If you arrive on Saturday during trial, belongings will return at the end of trial.
💀 Communications, while you cannot text via I.R.I.S., you can still send messages through HER-MES. All other functions for I.R.I.S. are available along with direct data transfers. Dead can send private letters to the living! An inbox can be accessed from the family computer at the canteen. If you find it locked, it is because we are updating it.
💀 Living livestream is broadcasted on the TV screen in the canteen!
✔️ Upgraded Quality ✔️ Audio ✔️ Translit Captions that sometimes fuck up ✔️ Dramatic panning ❌ Color
💀 Planet locations are free to use! Upon the Eudora landing planetside, you will find that as you meander through the various parts of the Belly you may run into one of locations of the current planet instead of where you were meaning to go. These locations are indeed still populated, but the people are more like wisps and will not react much to any conversation. Though you can interact with stuff there you cannot take anything with you out of the location "rooms".

[Maybe by week 7 his own perspective on life and death will be hella warped by you two nutcases BUT FOR NOW HE STILL CARES ABOUT THESE THINGS. It is literally only because he saw Dahut's reactions to the trial and execution that he trusts him to not let Scien bleed out for (scien)ce, and even then he's like "you're both on thin ice."
BUT they do have another... problem...??? OR SOMETHING??? God. He looks over his shoulder at Vash, worried, but the hunger is also kicking back in... he will probably not hover over the Virche doing Virche things? Probably.]
...I'll come back and keep an eye on him. [Vashtue... Statvash...]

[sticking your hand through someone's stomach... wtf luke..... weirdo........ (the audacity)
but off to the beds they go!! despite everything scien is going to literally collapse on it as soon as he's able, throwing his free arm over his eyes out of exhaustion. the sweet, sweet peace of being horizontal again]
Ask him if he understands anything about what just happened, Busybody. [and as for dahut,] It's already not as bad as earlier—at least from feeling. The emotions they shoved at me again were worse.
[this man is a terrible gauge for these things]
no subject
[SIR PLEASE.
Sasuga Scien, though. Dahut will remain standing, setting his hands on his hips and looking down at Scien for a moment before turning his attention back to Luke.]
Thank you for keeping watch! He was a liiittle bit rattled before that happened, so he's probably still going to be spooked when he comes out of it. [THEIR SWEET STATVASH... But he'll nod at Scien's report AND THEN ALSO LOOK TIRED.]
Why does this keep happening to you... You must be doing something to invite it.
no subject
[WHY ARE YOU BOTH THIS WAY. He just sighs... he will finally let go now. Be free, Scien.
To Dahut--]
Alright, I'll try to keep him calm. I'll come back and check in later--send Peanut if you need help. [HE WILL LEAVE HIS GUARD BIRD who apparently weighs 800 pounds now.
Abandons you both to go guard statue Vash and continue eating his graham crackers. And also get freaked out about the healing effect working in real time.]
no subject
I said I would be open to the idea of living as a pitiful human with emotions and this is what I get for it.
[OTHER PEOPLE'S TRAUMA!!!!]
no subject
Maybe this is just making up for all of the years that you skipped out on it? That way you'll be more used to it!
[Reaching out to pat Scien's stupid head there there WELCOME TO EMOTIONS. He will also just be here for 2 hours making sure Scien doesn't fucking die again.]
no subject
[the way he'll belatedly remember to open the rest of his poorly buttoned shirt so he can watch hiS OWN BODY MEND ITSELF]
no subject
Anyway he'll just peek at this gruesome fucking tooth impalement injury that's had some time to start healing with freaky Reliver researcher curiosity.]
—Oh! It looks like it's already starting to zip itself back up, huh? Wonderful!
no subject
[it's... weird....]
no subject
[Though he is sooooo itching to crack himself open and see what's inside now... NOOOOOOOOO.]
I wonder if it goes as far as immediately fatal wounds or if it has an upward limit.
no subject
I don't like anything that strays this close to immortality.
[that's not his vibe....]
But given how dangerous this excursion unexpectedly was, it's better to know whether or not we have anything to truly be cautious of.
no subject
Beyond the obvious benefit, it doesn't sit too well with me, either... [He's thinking specifically about SOME PEOPLE OUT THERE and how they'd be if they figured out whatever the fuck was happening to their bodies here.
ANYWAY, after a sigh:] If things stay this risky, it probably won't be long before we find out one way or another.

What the fuck you guys look awful. Except for Dahut. ]
Are you guys all right?
[ If he had trauma, he instantly put it in the backseat. ]
no subject
[YOU'RE
FINE? Does he look visibly harmed at all]
no subject
He really looks at everyone twice. Dahut only gets once because he seems fine. ]
Let me go get my medkit.
[ He doesn't take long, but here is his better medkit. ]
no subject
no subject
I brought my medkit... In case we need more supplies.
[ He leaves it here for communal usage. ]
no subject
Leave it, in case we need it, but I'll wait it out.
[what a fucking horrifying science experiment]
no subject
[ HELP, except he shushes again to smaller voice. ]
At least we can give you new bandages if you end up needing a change.
no subject
[FOR FREAKS TO BE FREAKY, MAYBE,,]
Don't fuss. I've survived worse.
no subject
You scared me—!!
no subject
Sorry.
no subject
Don't apologize! I'm just glad that you, um. Became flesh and blood again...?
no subject
I'm glad, too. You ended up being okay?
[ No wounds where they can't see? Physical or emotional. ]
no subject
Mm, yep! It seems like I got out of this mess a lot more lightly than any of you three.
[NO INVISIBLE WOUNDS NO PEEKING.]
