[ hello. welcome to ballroom. we really appreciate you coming!! the doors are locked and the whole gang's here. "including baiken?" yeah! senior crew as well.

the current set-up of this ballroom seems to have been split off into three separate spaces.

the first space is the party space! it…weirdly looks like what you'd almost expect from a high school prom? it's fancy decor, beautiful decorations, and all of the food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) you could ever want. somehow there's a purikura booth set up as well for some cute photo ops, and there are plenty of tables, chairs, and floor space for anyone who wants to dance or play party games with your friends. we have an hour, go nuts.

the second space is a little less intensive, decorated with beanbag chairs and couches. a large projection screen is on the wall to stream movies, and there are a few library books for your perusal, along with some board games. this is the zone for those looking for something a little more chill.

finally, there is a cute little glamping set-up (not entirely photo accurate) with mattresses, blankets, and pillows. you may have to share a bed with a friend, but it's better than the floor, right? stake your claim and get cozy. we're in for a long night. ]

And I'm doing alright. Sore, but it feels a hell of a lot better than the other one.

Artemy. I do think we're rather on a first name basis after our adventure today. Nothing quite says bonding like nearly being digested, mm?

[ i missed name reveals in the euphoria of cyoa but cute... he smiles and jokes about being vored and ruins it.

I would think so as well. We've had a long go of it.

[ don't joke about being vored jk he's a good person to joke about that with. unfortunately. ]

The pain is fine. Barely feel anything right now. [ a nod. ] Save your magic, yeah? You've done more than enough.

I did rest, you know.

[ cmon lemme magic! well, not really - he's just joking, because he really casted his little glass cannon ass off today actually and it's nice to just rest. ]

But that's good to hear. Well deserved, mm?

[bulls]

[ just gives him the flattest look like sir do not test me on this one. ]

You could rest so much more. But... I suppose this counts.

[ folds arms gently ]

Well. Provide warmth and succor; smite the wicked and banish the shadows with the light. Such is the nature of the Flame.

[ hehe. he looks down at his staff for a moment - really, despite being (redacted) today, he's not in a bad mood. he's been in a markedly better mood since tuesday, actually. ]

Or something like that, at least. It's certainly very good at lighting paths in dark tunnels. [ hee hee. ]

And you needn't worry so much, Artemy. You would not have to knock me out by force for a good night's sleep. Pray that the evening and morning are quiet, and I'll rest until noon if given the choice.

I like those words. Not really a man of the church, but I can respect that considering how thoroughly it helped us.

[ haha yeah.... yeahhhhhhh... he just closes his eyes a moment. ]

I would love to wake at noon for once. I'll throw a wish in that particular well to see if it sticks.

Faith is what you make of it, really. The path you walk is yours, and what guides you down it is yours, too. But, I will say this - a monster that hides in the dark is rarely a match for the light.

You and I both - though I hardly doubt it will be peaceful, no matter what comes tomorrow.

Suppose sleeping here for the night isn't so bad. Beds and everything... it's a more comfortable set up than I expected.

but he laughs a little too as he looks out on the setup. ] I can't say that I'm complaining. Everyone seems to think I'm going to terribly misbehave, as if I have any interest in sleeping somewhere uncomfortable in this state... I would have brought down blankets and pillows before I slept solely on the floor, but this was far more convenient.
