[ hello. welcome to ballroom. we really appreciate you coming!! the doors are locked and the whole gang's here. "including baiken?" yeah! senior crew as well.

the current set-up of this ballroom seems to have been split off into three separate spaces.

the first space is the party space! it…weirdly looks like what you'd almost expect from a high school prom? it's fancy decor, beautiful decorations, and all of the food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) you could ever want. somehow there's a purikura booth set up as well for some cute photo ops, and there are plenty of tables, chairs, and floor space for anyone who wants to dance or play party games with your friends. we have an hour, go nuts.

the second space is a little less intensive, decorated with beanbag chairs and couches. a large projection screen is on the wall to stream movies, and there are a few library books for your perusal, along with some board games. this is the zone for those looking for something a little more chill.

finally, there is a cute little glamping set-up (not entirely photo accurate) with mattresses, blankets, and pillows. you may have to share a bed with a friend, but it's better than the floor, right? stake your claim and get cozy. we're in for a long night. ]

He is, of course, wallflowering; perhaps hardly surprising, holding a drink as he's occasionally watching the others, but not doing much else. ]

Still not a fan of crowds, but...he can deal for one time, he supposes. ]

It looks pretty good in here, don't you think? And it's big enough.

[ KGLSLMGSH:KMGH that's honestly incredibly hilarious; Blade will not protest loudly with her clinking the drinks like that!!

Afterwards, he will take a sip, considering the words, before responding. ]

...The room's appearance is still relatively noteworthy. Though, it could always do with a little less people. Even if it fits everyone well enough.

[ He knows why it's happening of course, even if he had to get dragged here in the first place... ]

Little did you know, all those weeks of hanging out were to slowly desensitise you to public gatherings until I could trap you into a full-party curfew.

[ No. ]

Well, could be worse! Could be the medpod room where we all woke up.

[ 47 people!!!!!!!!!!! ]

If it weren't for knowing the reason why, I would've considered it a true possibility.

[ Sincerely!! As for the other comment, though? ]

...Hmph. Thankfully we're not. Though it has been awhile since we've been crammed in there, I don't miss it.

I'm pretty awesome, but even I can't predict that far into the future.

Me neither. We've come a pretty long way, huh?

Hm. I would be surprised if anyone here were a seer...

[ Well. Not really...anything is possible, after all. ]

We have. The fact we even made it this far could be something of a miracle. Or, perhaps...something less fantastical than that.

[ The road ahead is still bumpy. But, it almost feels like there could be a silver lining. Blade is not going to say something like that, though. ]

It sounds pretty fantastic when you put it that way, don't you think?

[ Like they hit that one in a million. ]

Considering everything, we could have destroyed each other by now. Or, lost who we are completely. Yet, here we are, despite that. There is still time for matters to go awry, however...that has not happened.

[ But, is it just simply miraculous, he wonders? ]

Let's just say that losing myself is the one thing I won't let go of.

[ Blade takes pause at hearing those words; her own determination is plain as day, though it's not something he'll disparage. ]

[ It'd be strange, if after everything, she had. ]

[ PATS HIM. And also hands him some animal crackers. ]

[ Blade blinks as he is pat, and takes some animal crackers, already beginning to munch on the snacks.

Alcohol and animal crackers...what an interesting combination for him to enjoy. ]

Some might not think of it as something that can be classified as such. But, I've seen time and time again...what results a strong determination can produce.

You don't need to tell me that, trust me, I know!

[ We love being delusionally self-confident. ]

Just gotta make sure everyone else's morale is just as high.

But for some, delusions serve them well, don't they? ]

...Unlikely.

Likely a good number out of those remaining, but there will be some harboring reasonable doubts of their own.

Well, forget about them! The more we doubt, the more unsettled we get, and we don't want those kinds of feelings right now do we!
