The bad thing is, once you grab it, the reason why the entire place has been shaking so badly becomes clear to you. You know how the basement is weirdly a mixture of a warfield and a frozen hellscape? And in particular, for Rodya side, remember how you entered via a mansion of ice?
Well, from behind you, you hear a rumbling, and a series of slams. Turns out, this basement and the mixture of your confessions and being from Rodya's memories have spawned the Baba Yaga as just one last surprise in this chain of bullshit you didn't need, which doesn't even have a real telligible image since it's legitimately a mansion-sized Abnormality and the only thing you CAN see of it is a massive leg, like. You're the size of its claw, kind of massive. And it's going to bring the entire place down.
You have to go. Lucky for you guys that Ichiban's E.G.O. manifested an SUV and also Tomi is still here, right? So we're just going to give that to you, you guys can pile into the SUV and get real comfortable and friendly with each other as Tomi hits the fucking pedals. You vroom the absolute hell out of the tunnels and hallways, out the way the Gregor side came, and out into the streets of the City. At that point, you're certain the things you left behind won't follow you anymore, but you keep speeding until you reach Mephistopheles.
Vergilius and Charon are there just the way you left them this morning, the tired old man only sparing a glance your way, and Charon bouncing in her seat at your return. She puts her hands on the wheel and glances up at all of you. You hear the magic words that'll get you the fuck out of here.
