Our entire city's run by a massive megacorporation... they call it the "Guinea Pig of the World" because they run so many damn tests on the populace. A regular ID is just your insurance number nowadays.

I mean, no more than any other huge city of industry? People get sick and die. People are killed... the White Knights do what they can, but they're not exactly "for the people" either. Most of 'em anyways.
