[ thebe is just here in the stasis bay with a bottle in their hand. they're just kind of hanging around by dahut's pod, but will lift their head, ears lifting a bit in acknowledgement. ]
Yes, you would be. We cannot allow that to happen at this time - anyone incapacitated must remain in a stasis pod until the end of the tour. That's just the protocol we are required to follow.
[ there is a flare in her emotions, but to her credit, her voice doesn't raise much. ]
Your protocols that you all wish to follow have failed you time and time these past few days. I am sure you have heard no end of complaints, but if you cannot grant the dying wishes of those your protocols have failed, what good are they?
That is seeing the contract to the end of its terms.
[ it's not an answer to her question, as she sees it. her frustration is clear, and it is bringing out her rudeness and haughtiness. sorry for her teenage self. ]
If you will not let me burn their remains, you must let me have silk feathers to burn for the passage of their souls.
[ ok, but if you break the contract, does that mean you die? asking for a friend.....
she thinks nuts & bolt can kick it. ]
Any color is fine. The intention is that it will help them fly to where they need to go, but it is a considerate touch if the color is meaningful or indicative of the people they are for.
Then I'll get those to you first thing in the morning. Should be able to get those... [ mental checklist time, it's a sad check list. ] ... Anything else that I can get for you?

[ tilting their head a bit, just been busy and haven't talked to people since after the alert. ]
The procedure for any kind of death on board... [ unhappily ] dictates that any remains on board need to be preserved in stasis pods.

If we wanted to burn their remains, would we be stopped?

They're no good for dying wishes. I'm not saying that they are.
Right now, under [ a muted unhappiness ] contract we can't do that.

Eeexactly...
[ you do not break the contract. heaviness. it's fine, this almost seem familiar. ]
I can do the feathers. They'll be in your locker first thing... do you need them in any particular colors?

She shakes her head. ]
As long you give me access to a way to burn them, I don't need anything else.
no subject
Then consider it done.

[ she turn to walk away after this. she is too irritated to stay.
SHE WILL MAYBE APOLOGIZE NEXT WEEK (this week). ]
