I suppose it is a long time. I didn't make it 25 without dying twice.

[ but he also keeps bouncing back to life so what does he know. ]

I don't know, I feel as if I've always been in life or death circumstances. It's hard to say if this one is worse or better than all the rest of them. Don't really know what I would do if I weren't about to die horribly at any moment.

[ LOOKS AT HIM SO SADLY??? ]

First of all, when you're not in a life or death circumstance, you can live peacefully a little easier. You know... Go on a series of dates? Maybe bake some bread?

To be honest with you, all of this is beyond me... So I feel like my opinion isn't worth much. I want to believe in us, though.

Do I seem as if I'm the peaceful existence full of dates and bread type?

[ i mean. maybe. he could be? ]

If you're asking me, your opinion is more important than any of the rest of your compatriots, so I asked you.

Definitely. Your specialty would be sourdough. You and Viktor could make the best starter!

[ She decides and assigns him a bread. ]

... Aw... That's so sweet. [ She really is so touched. ] I think—no, we will make it and we will stop this.

[ i dont think he's patient enough for bread he has to start smaller. cookies out of a package. ]

So you imagine we'll be able to go somewhere together?

[ she has faith in him that she shouldn't have honestly ]

Go somewhere? I think... We can go anywhere at the end of this, but it depends on our choices.

[ And not the whims of fate. ]

If that's what you mean.

... We are in some haunted ship flying beyond the stars, so I think anything is possible.

Are you thinking of not returning home, Mister Tavelle?

I don't think that I can. If I do, the instant I return I will be under thumb of the Somnovem again. And I doubt they will let me escape a second time.

... There is someone I need to retrieve from there.

[ She's sympathetic... ]

Then you don't need to go back—after we rescue that person! You two can go somewhere else.

That's possible? I imagined-- with the ability you had to kidnap us, surely you could do it intentionally.

[ he was ... kind of freaking out about the possibility of stepping foot in Exandria. ]

... I owe her that much. I don't believe she will care where she goes. I think a fresh start is enough. And then our obligations will be paid.

Oh... I still have no idea how you guys were taken.

[ They were delivered to the Eudora like sardines, but i guess they now can just surmise that assimilated strings were pulled. ]

You ever heard about aliens in "modern" media? People get abducted by getting beamed up—levitated—by a smaller spaceship. We can maybe do that?
