Ah yes, that you have. [ A hand raises, pushing the hood back as curved ears flick back then slightly up. ] Depending on what it is, I can possibly give it. What is it that you seek?

[tombtaker]

[ he'll go sit somewhere - not on the same couch that's WEIRD but he'll sit too, one leg crossed over the other, tail twitching around his ankles. ]

Why were you experimenting with your blood?

[dropoffs]

[ It's not like he has COOTIES. Anyways, his head tilts at that. ] Well, for one I had not recently come back from a mission like the others that very day. [ Callisto, Europa, Ganymede and Thebe ] Io has been endlessly working in Medbay these past few weeks, Amalthea's results would have been... [ A head shake. ] Adrastea and I volunteered and so we did. And we already explained it was to examine the nanites in our system. [ Technically they took a sample from Adrastea that night as well. ]

[ well, back up. ]

Amalthea's results ... ?

[dropoffs]

[ Hmmm. A light shrug. Sorry! ] Not my information to share, I am afraid.

[tombtaker]

Hm. An odd one out?

[ his tail flicks. ]

Do you consider yourself trustworthy? Just curious.

[dropoffs]

Of a sort, but quite a few of us are. [ A hum. ] I certainly think so. However, it is not a thought I would force onto others. Trust is better gained through connection and understanding.

[tombtaker]

No, some of you are most certainly odder than the rest.

[ honestly metis seems relatively normal on the scale all things considered. he has cat ears and everything, just like home. ]

Don't know that that's possible here. Understanding is shallow and brief, and connections break at the slightest press of a knife.

[dropoffs]

[ Metis would consider himself relatively normal to a sense too. Sorta. ] And certainly a difficult thing to reach in such a short time as well. [ A glance to the sight of space outside. ] However, that does not change my plans to aid you all to the best of my ability, to return you all safely back home.

[tombtaker]

And if we don't want to go home ... ?

[ he says this idly. more of a hypothetical than any serious suggestion. ]

[dropoffs]

[ He takes a moment to think. ] ...Some have unfortunate events awaiting them back home, I imagine. I know a few have asked to apply officially and stay working amongst the stars. [ A hand at his chin. ] Well, if one asks of it, I am certain allowing them the opportunity to return to a world not their own wouldn't be that difficult of a request to fulfill.

[tombtaker]

[ he also has a long think over this answer, hand tightening and untightening by his side. ]

[dropoffs]

[ Metis remains patient, letting the silence fill and doesn't seem uncomfortable by it until words come. ] If that is your wish, we can see to it once we reach our final destination.

[ his face tightens again. ]

It's not. There's much work to be done yet, and I'm due my place in the ring.

[dropoffs]

[ Watches him quietly before he nods. ] ..As someone who takes to the idea of adventures and seeing new sights, they are mere ideas and dreams - I have my own duties expected of me back home. So, to a sense I can understand in that regard. [ But he does not know Lucien's story, and he does not wish to speak as if he does, so he moves on. ] The option will be there at least if your thoughts ever change.
