Has there been any progress in determining what made our behavior so erratic?

We are going through some deductions and Io has been reviewing yours, Mister Lee's, and Mister Pearce's bodies every night in hopes they see something different. There is still a curiosity in nanites and I was fortunate enough to remember Mister Pearce's recommendation to scan them during the upcoming spacejump lockdown. Ultimately, there is no progress. [ She isn't going to sugarcoat it or anything. ]

Despite Mister Pearce's case being different from the rest, we cannot exclude him in this strange series of happenings. At least, that is my opinion. High levels of cortisol and adrenaline. Increased heart rate. High blood pressure—similar metrics applied to those who have different physiologies or biology. All of you are corpses, nothing more and nothing less. Of course this is what we can glean from the technology we do have. It is possible that it is something our equipment currently cannot detect. That belongs to the company and our ranks are not high enough to be given those permissions. If we wanted to look into nanites, then we would need to extract and study them ourselves. A curse always has an origin. I don't know what it may be, but an origin has to exist... It has to be full of disdain.

Only to a degree. You've spoken of curses before, and so I'm merely following up. As you said, even a curse must have its origin—that's all I'm looking to find. I'm willing to acknowledge that what may be at play is something that didn't exist in my own world.

But there has to be a source and a reason. For my consciousness to even persist after my death with no back-up... there has to be a reason.

It depends on the severity. Unraveling their patented nanites is on the severe end... So I suppose we would be sent to intergalactic prisons, divided depending on what categories we fit. I've read it's more ruthless than domestic incarceration processes. [ But she doesn't seem bothered. ] I believe something is tethering you... Though I may not be one to speak. I am familiar with lost souls.
