whatever's comfortable for you since it's your arm
plus i have your jacket anyway
solesuccess: (View it)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-05 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
that works for me. i'll be there

[ and true to his word he goes! he will enter the rec room, and he's just making himself comfy in one of the computer chairs while he waits. it's also possible that ganymede beats him there but it's fine. the jacket is being used as a blanket for the moment. ]
solesuccess: (Look in the mirror and tell me)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-05 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[ huh. he does note this, at least, even if there isn't much he can do with that information. it's nice to know the differences just for himself. but he's scooting his chair forward even if there's a slight grin. ]

It's your hand. Obviously I'm not taking anything apart. [ roboji is probably actually in a corner behind him, i forgot to add that, but the robot does roll up to ganymede to greet them. hewwo. ] I mostly wanted to see the craftsmanship. You said somebody from your home made it, right?
solesuccess: (I'm trying - I'm trying)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-06 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[ first of all, the greeting for his robot gets shoma to smile a little (though mostly to himself) because he likes when people humor the robot. but there's a thoughtful little look as he examines the arm closer. ]

So you've been gone for a while. [ lightly said, but also...wow. ] Sounds like things were a little rough out there. But it's pretty solid. I'm kinda impressed.

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-08 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
[ listen i know i definitely played myself here because it is. not at all a secret just how outright fascinated and delighted shoma is to be able to see how it works. ]

Low maintenance, too, from the looks of it. Have you actually had to use it to fight a lot? [ what the hell were you doing traveling before joining the eudora, gany? ]
solesuccess: (You cannot replace)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-08 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[ it really does kind of look like it grew out of ganymede, like a real limb. impressive. ]

I'd call that a slight advantage then with how strong it is. [ like damn you could know out a man with this. ] Or, like, I assume. I don't know much hand-to-hand but feels that way. But often enough is still a little worrying, you know.
solesuccess: (who can I look to)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-09 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[ poking the palm. he's mostly testing for reflexes. ]

Like...to be part of the regular military, or space military? Maybe that doesn't matter. [ but huh. ] Did you have your own ship before this?
solesuccess: (It's alright)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-10 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Which probably makes you feel responsible for the others on the senior crew, too. That kind of feeling doesn't really go away, I think. [ it does kind of explain some of how ganymede behaves and talks to people though. ]

I guess there isn't really a way to actually fly while you're part of this tour? What about your old crew...?
solesuccess: (In the bottom half of the hourglass)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-10 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess that's just how teams operate. Especially with how long you guys have been working together already. [ he cannot disagree on this, at least. ]

...are you even able to still talk to them while you're here? I know we don't really have a way to contact people back home, but what about you guys? With your promotional perks or anything.
solesuccess: (Just not for long for long)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-11 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
[ BIG OL SIGH. ]

The amount of times I've run into someone who doesn't know what I'm talking about and I have to figure out an equivalent to explain isn't small. But I can't think of a much better comparison either outside of maybe just calling them a mediator.

[ but that makes him frown again. ]

It seems like a pretty dumb deal for you guys to be gone for a long time without being able to reach other people. And kind of...I don't know, isolating?
solesuccess: (Work it)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-11 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
It wasn't bad. I watched through it a few times to take some notes just in case it disappeared later. I don't know how many other people might've watched it, but it probably helped some.

[ ...the eudora's already kind of a bigger ship than he thought, but for just eight of them and with all of the gates unlocked... ]

Just for the one month? I thought some of you started working for Nut & Bolt about three months ago.
solesuccess: (When I don't have an identity)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-12 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
[ help. he's trying not to grin, but it fails slightly. ]

It's all trial and error, but it's hard when some people don't know where to start. It doesn't hurt to write new guides, or at least a really brief one-sheet. For all we know people will just ignore the signs and do whatever they want anyway.

[ ...huh. ]

...that's a pretty big downgrade, Ganymede. And also weird timing for so many of them. Are they set to come back after this tour? The ones on leave, that is.
solesuccess: (I'm taking this route)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-03-12 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
[ yeah your space lions.

he does not think this. but he tilts his head, waiting patiently for the thought to continue. and also watching that hand. ]

Guess that's a good thing if you do decide to come back afterwards, too. A bigger crew to work with. And hopefully less problems.
