I think it's highly possible. Those waves are quite powerful, and if they are that disruptive... a category 3 storm could have tremendous impacts on the people living here.

Exactly what I was thinking as well. Knowing that, we can at least have some sort of idea what to anticipate based on the things we've experienced. We just can't fully rely on that.
