It's best if we all take healing guns, I think. I've been sort of practicing my bladework but I'm still not confident enough that it'll be good enough. [ also he definitely got stabbed the last time he was pulled somewhere. ]
So I can take a pistol. Easier for long-range damage anyway.
Yeah. I'd hate for us to get stuck without a way to heal if something happens while we're out there, so...keep a gun and save it for the worst case scenarios.
Indeed. It sounds as if dividing and conquering to gather information, followed by entry into the plant is our first goal - relatively simple. I imagine the closer we get to the storm, the more dangerous it will become.
Wouldn't surprise me. The calm before the storm, if you will. [ god. ] ...it might not be smart to split up by ourselves, but maybe pairs? Charles and I have done this before, and between you and Keith you might get good answers from locals, too. I mean we'll have to see what the planet's like when we land but...thinking ahead.
[ help the joke makes him chuckle because he has a bad sense of humor but he nods. ]
Pairs were helpful to us before as well. And this time, there's not the stress of maintaining aliases, either, short of the mask of investigators. Hardly a mask for us when it's a duty once a week, anyway, and certainly in line with my duties prior to this place.
If you and Charles work well together, I don't mind taking Keith under my wing.
Better to have someone watch your back at all times, isn't it? Especially when we only have a little information to go on...we can ask them and be sure that they're comfortable with it, but I think pairs is the best route. And then Io said he'd set a timer for us anyway to group up again. We can go from there.
You won't have to worry much about me, wouldn't be the first time I've had to do something like this. [ tch. colonies... and weird planet core stuff. ]
I agree that talking with the locals, to start, might get us clues on what's causing this. They'd know be able to differentiate between what's normal here and what's not.
[ too bad they're not going to a balmera, then the locals could just TALK to the planet. ]
If it gets to that point... it will take quite a bit out of me, but on my prior 'mission', I ended up having to resurrect one of our cadre. If the conditions here are right, I can do so, should we need it.

Though I wish you had not been brought on a second of these dangerous missions, I'll be glad for your intellect and wit as we move forward, Shoma.

I don't know about you all, but I'm looking forward to it.

[ how long it will go just fine...now that's unknown. ]
As long as none of us come back dead or close to it, I think we'll be just fine. Not a bad group we've got here, the four of us and Io.
[ kosmo is also here, so really it's the six of them. ]
