everything is kind of off kilter, a little... uncanny? shu may check the closets - the first one doesn't have anything hanging in it, just the lone bar for sliding hangers on, although it feels a little more claustrophobic, more so than your normal closet. even if he's not stepping into it. he can take a closer look to try and discern why if he wants.
kazuki will find that the first drawer he opens doesn't have anything in it, but there's something weird about the texture of the handle he pulls on. like it has a little more give than it should. the next drawer doesn't have this same sensation, but even if it's empty, too, it has the same cramped feeling as shu's closet over there does. the first drawer does not have this feeling. ]

you both realize that they're. fleshy. that is the texture. it's fleshy, and shaped in an attempt to emulate a closet wall, a drawer handle, a drawer interior. where something is meant to be wood, the flesh whorls in an attempt to replicate the grain. the corners of the closet, the one drawer, twitch a little.

... I see. The rest of the ship isn't like this, and the door is metal still, so I'm going to say we weren't eaten alive.

It's more like the room is just... partially overtaken by something. Which is weird enough as is, but it's been six weeks and I don't think anywhere else is like this. At least, as far as I know.

the top of the other desk squishes slightly, pulsing at the touch. its drawers also squish inwards at being poked, rather than just one of them being affected. some tendrils - wound together to look solid - flex, then coil tightly again so that it looks like. just a desk. ]
it... squeals, spasming and spurting out a very viscous, slightly translucent, reddish pus. luckily shu has moved away and neither kazuki nor adrastea are that close to it as the tendrils unfurl into a weird mound of flesh with an arrow sticking out of it. ]
Out. We can discuss the logistics and how to bar the door back up again outside of this nightmare room.
