THE REJUVENATION CHAMBER

- the machines are technically healing machines ... only the intact one works. You step inside and it revitalizes you, leaving you healthy and glowing (not literally, but you know, like a skincare ad) but the reverse can also be used. They suck your life out of you and make you weak and ill and suspectible to injury
- to make it heal you have to have the bracelet, but as Margaret found out if you break it ... it'll start sucking the life out of everything in the room
- to get to the bracelet you kinda have to climb through the broken glass hole which, idk, doesn't seem great to me
- There is a part of a Threshold Crest that seems to power these machines, and you'll feel a strong desire to retrieve it.

I think at this point, too, the eyes are impatient. Margaret, you hear a voice in your head. `He knows something. He has something you need. You need to get the Crest.`

Owner hears `Be careful. She's going to strike first--!` ]

[yeah. okay. it might be harder if it was sidon, or guy, but it's owner. he's been passive aggressive this whole time and never seems to trust her. if she has to get him out of the way to do this, so be it.

but she doesn't strike first, actually. she's careful. she walks towards him a little.]

[ he pauses what he's doing, turning to look at her. owner doesn't answer right away, and instead simply steps away from the contraption, and gestures towards it. ]

[great! well, then, she will just try to go into the machine and grab that bracelet from the skeleton. future vision locked and loaded to alert her if he tries to make a move.]

[she's so confident in her plan but even if she did predict the future she'd still have to dodge a sword.

anyway. she rolled a 5 on future sight so she realizes she's about to be stabbed with a sword as she's stabbed with a sword, and i rolled a 5 on dodging so she just is stabbed in the back.

ouch.

anyway she's casting Hold Person on him.]

[she sticks her hand into the broken glass and yanks out that bracelet, not caring whether or not she cuts her hand. the wound in her back is very concerning. she can feel her vision swimming, going dark. blood is dripping down her back. but she can heal herself. it's fine. it's fine.

with the bracelet, she's going to slowly start backing up towards the other orb. she has to keep her concentration on to continue holding him in place and it's very hard to keep concentrating like this, so you should keep rolling to see if you get free. she's watching him as she moves and bleeding heavily so moving very slowly, but she's also reaching for her gun with a shaking hand.]

[ he keeps struggling to get free, taking note of what she's taking-- the bracelet? he files that away as something potentially important, because why else would she want it? she only wants important things, because margaret is so full of herself.

eventually, he does break out of the hold. there a slight pause as he registers what happened, and he is immediately going to rush over to try to stab her again. sure, she has a gun, but sometimes yolo. ]

[with her future sight she fails to predict whether he'll come after her with sword or with a spell but that's fine, she was going for the gun, so she'll continue going for the gun as she backs up. she will fire at him several shots, but her hands are trembling and she's dizzy so her aim is bad. feel free to get hit by them however you want though.]

I guess we're just going through a rocky patch. When I bring you back, I'll make sure you're less of a dick.

[ anyway, guess who has telekinesis because of a scroll from over 100 comments ago. however, i rolled an 8, so this is likely going to be easy to dodge. but he is going to yeet some of the broken glass over at her. ]

i made all of my magic spells when i took arcana really based on controlling people and i see now i should have just taken lightning.]

but since this is an injury, it does allow him to snap out of it. he yanks the sword out and immediately dashes to her to try to stab her AGAIN. ]

[well she tries to slam the door to the healing pod shut but it's glass so he can probably sword her right through that. ahhhhh. she is trying to turn on the healing machine but i rolled bad on arcana so she doesn't get it this round!]
