as he wipes the blood off of her face, he'll find it comes away easily enough. her blond hair is stained, and the big hole in her chest does indicate she was certainly stabbed. she has a few other marks. smaller stabs, that would have belonged to a smaller weapon. a dagger, maybe. ]

anyway, wow, yes! as he pats down her clothing, he will find something's not right. she has no bag, but in her robes, there is a hidden pocket! it's stitched so carefully into her clothing that he almost could have missed it had he not been smart enough to pat her down.
inside the pocket is a small, folded paper that simply reads Where the light meets the darkness, the light shall not fade. and the bottom of the paper reads: Alpates.
while he's looking at the paper, he may not notice it, but the purple black shadow is starting to appear at her neck, as well, just above her collar. ]

but also oooooh small folded paper... he carefully unfolds it and reads it very meticulously so he misses the purple black shadow starting to appear at her neck.
