the spellbook he picked up has the incantations for some very powerful spells! Ignis Ardere, Glacies Claudere, and Tonitrus Canere - he can cast these spells and it does fire, ice or lightning damage to his enemy three times in a row, but it also hurts him in the process. not as badly, but it takes all of your mana at once, and that's not good!
he probably has experience with this kind of shit though idk what goes on in arcane]
