[ ichiban doesn't do anything as the blob floats in front of him—in fact, he goes a little cross-eyed just trying to keep looking at it. he's keeping an eye on yuri out of the corner of his gaze, though he hasn't quite gotten the hint that she might be dealing with her own mystery friend (?)... ]

[ you probably shouldn't swat at unknown things! when she turns her paw over there is just a small floating mote of light that just is vibing there. it's a little glowy and just kind of orbits around her knuckles slowly before lifting up to meet her at eye level. it is just a soft mote that drifts back and forth to the humming that now has it's little improvisational beat. it will eventually begin to rise and drift. does yuri follow?
ichiban pokes it and it seems to tumble back a bit before it darts in to try and poke ichiban back! right in the middle of his forehead! wow! it doesn't seem offended though as it sort of circles him and then proceeds to drift lazily through the cots now. there are a couple of strange, soft sighs - five more mintues and just what the doctor ordered followed by a slow creaking noise from one of the cots.
the lights dim a little more in the medbay. the two motes of light will slowly attempt to lead ichiban and yuri... together... to meet in the middle of the medbay. if they so follow... ]
[ BONKED... ichiban was set to follow his mote, but the quiet voices from the other cots grab his attention first. before he goes to meet yuri and her light in the middle of the room, he quickly rips the blanket from the creaking cot, then resumes his slow, lazy chase. ]
the creaking cot has its blanket is ripped off! the cot shifts loudly as it does so, but other than that there's nothing there. but there's a gruff little back to work... that fades off. the mote just waits for him patiently and will eventually lead him to where yuri is in the middle of the room.
the two little motes will meet in the middle. and here, for a moment there's almost a very reasurring warmth that fills both yuri and ichiban. they may bask in it for a bit if they so choose. their light feels just like sunlight, warm and just invigorating. ]
a photo has none little mote of light... but there's a pair of slim data pads laying on the ground in the photo now, face up with slightly chipped screens. those wasn't there before. :thonk: but they are there now if she looks.
the little light chums flicker a bit and then burst into wave-like shapes, dissipating. "NOT THE B-" is the last burst of sound you can make out as the medbay goes dead silent there afater and the lights return to where they were before. the humming from before has dissipated. there's only the sound of the eudora's ventilation now, steady and soft.
