I keep a lot of notes, but I don't always leave 'em around. Must have been busy stocking and left it...
[ he is a mighty little unit, opening up his blue eyes and lifting his little kitty head to look at rodya. a little voice befitting of cat's sounds off as he yawns: ]
Yeah, he's a very smart little guy. He doesn't need anymore schooling.
[ scrubbing his earses gently as he purr purr purrs. ]
And... [ a fond sentiment that's just very soft... ] Yeah, I do. We arrived at around the same time. I ended up gravitating towards them since we were all new, even with all of us being on different teams. I know Europa's kind of an acquired taste for some, but I'd trust them with my life.
[ Damn why can't the bus get a mascot... well the mascot is Yuri. And also Charon. And I guess they later get a seagull but they should stop and ask themselves why. ]
Why don't you tell me a bit about that, your guys's first intro to this place and all.
[ thebe just pats son quietly and leans back, looking at the tablet quietly. the bus should be allowed to have a mascot. signs that petition /erases the segull. ]
Hm...
There's a lot I'm technically not allowed to speak about. But... some of us had to really take a crash course in working around the place. Never worked on a ship before, never even been on one.
[ tilts head ] The bar was my favorite, just because it reminded me of my old job... so it helped me get used to just sort of living day to day in something as big as space.
I went to school for the "science stuff" but... didn't know if it was really the right fit. I was afraid of getting stuck there, in a soulless job.
[ though they tilt there head there ]
And I'm assuming that's because you guys aren't really a typical case, considering everything that's happened this week. We'd have had more for you guys if... [ literally luke and dahut and then scien hadn't just fallen over like dominos. anyways the mood slam dunks into depression. ] if the week hadn't really gone sideways.
[ thebe ur in a mg. ]
It's late now, guess it'll just have to be while you guys are on the ground. Or you can always shadow us, too.
It was it just got deprioritized by said "dropping bodies."
[ they had to weigh their options and finding a killer kind of took precedence... ]
And we don't. We're required to bring everyone to the hub. If someone dies on tour... [ just a small barely there pindrop of hate ] procedure dictates that we do bring them intact to the hub at the end of the tour.
They're available to visit in stasis, but that's where they're required to stay.
[ Huh. Wacky. Rodya's not the world's biggest fan of emotionshare kind of stuff -- she already thinks it's enough whenever they have to go through it with the Bough collections -- she thinks it's interesting insight nonetheless whenever it drops. Especially here. ]
Sooo, basically, just doing the courtesy of bringing the bodies back home, huh.
Hope your parent company is prepared to do some serious payouts.
Luke died from a sickness he was already dealing with before he came to us... Company never alerted us to it in any part of his profile, and we don't get any supplementary info on you guys. That's the only thing we got. [ lowkey disappointment because like. luke was hot (no) luke was just a guy with a good head on his shoulders. and now he's in the graveyard. ]
Didn't have a window to treat what we didn't know anything nearly enough about... so his condition deteriorated quickly. As for Scien... I don't know. None of us do - I mean what motivates someone tear out their throat like that... I've never seen that. Ever.
Yeah, but I thought you were supposed to have vital stability measures on us or something. Those pods were loaded with a billion messages about our health, to an honestly kinda creepy point.
[ So. She's no doctor and doesn't know much about illnesses, but with health monitoring like these? ]
I think we're all thinking that in either case, this nanite business is sus as hell. I dunno if you should be exactly be putting us to business like this.
The pods were from Nut & Bolt, they didn't originate here... you guys got delivered to us. I think they had your initial vitals, but if I remember right, that's just to make sure you were ready to wake up.
[ thinking ]
Stability measures... the nanites just help accelerate healing for you when you're inside one of the medical pods in the medbay. Yes, they allow you all to understand each other and communicate with each other too, use the I.R.I.S., and open your doors and lockers because those should be locked to just you... but this is all that they do. Nothing else.[ a certainty without a drop of doubt. ] I get that it's not a situation any one of you signed up for which makes it worse. But...
If you want to have a medbay scan to check and make sure yours are acting as they should you can. I mean, we could even do it together if you want a comparison with someone who's had them for a while.
This your way of telling me they're just isolated incidents?
[ Luke... bad health. Dahut and Scien, just by being actually insane people. She just stands there with a hand on her hip, considering. ]
You telling me all that shit Scien kept going off about with being made to do it is just all him?
Gotta know how serious I really gotta take this job. I like being casual, but even I've gotta take it at least a little seriously when death is on the table and it's all on us to deal with it.

[ Hello son. She's coming closer and observing, what an absolute unit. ]
You keep and leave around notes often?

[ I hope Morgana is the real NPC and Thebe is nothing but a mouthpiece. ]
You get along with the other crew? Sorry, I did read the log. It is how I know it's yours to begin with...

Makes sense, seems like you really know how to mix a drink. And now you do... science stuff?
