Are you familiar with this kind of technology? [ Space tech. ]

Iiit's... a little more advanced than what I'm used to—but it's fine. I still deal with a lot of technology.

What kind of work are you used to?

[ They approach the walls by the gate, I.R.I.S flickering on and projecting about five screens with rows of text. A lot of it is just straight-up techy but it seems to be focusing on shield maintenance here. ]

[psynchroneyes]

[ As her eyes scan over the wall of text, Europa might pick up on the stray, passing thought of uh, hey, can you make any sense of this...? This really is techy. ]

I run a company! But I recently got recruited into police officer work, too. So, not the most tech focused jobs out there, but it's enough.

[ If they hear that stray thought, Europa does not seem to react. Instead they scroll through the list, enlargening a line that shows one stating SYSTEMS OFFLINE. ]

[ Offline, is it. She's gonna try to read whatever system that's related to. ]

Lemniscate! It's a talent agency.

[ Sounds like they don't get it. Anyways, reading she'll find that all of Stasis Bay's shield systems are offline. Pain. There's an option to reroute systems and restart them. ]

Er—okay, let's see... They're companies that work closely with entertainers, though mine mostly focuses on musical artists. To put it shortly, you sign up with an agency so they can help you advance your career and assist with financial stuff and getting bookings and all that.

[dropoffs]

[ There's a painfully obvious moment of silence... before they click on the screen, the systems buffering and the words REROUTING appear. ]

Performing arts, essentially. Management work.

Essentially. We deal with the boring stuff while they put on a show.

And this is a job you enjoy?

Eh, it pays the bills, so I can't complain.

[ As if the majority don't work for stable money, but ok Europa. ]

It was my dad who founded the company. I never really had it in me to give it up.

Yeah. I remember how much work he put into it when I was a kid, so... I don't have the same knack for music that he did, but I still wanted to keep it going for him.
