I wouldn't even be able to start figuring out how he'd manage that, either.
You can jerry rig your caddy so that it presses down on the button. There'll be a few seconds without water, but it'll come right back afterwards at the same temperature.
It's kind of hard to do, so you have to mess with it a lot to get it just right, but worth it. I think the others would just hit the button and get the timing figured out. Smarter not harder, though.
