I'm fine with either, honestly. They both sound interesting.
I'll head on over.
[and he will pop into the observation deck, and head towards ganymede once he spots them... and since he's here, he spares a quick look at the plants nearby,]
Hello. I do have one question -- about the plants. Are they safe for cats to eat?
[ a glance, as well, with the greeting and question. ]
Oh - Thebe has a cat, so I'm pretty sure they are. [ doxxes their coworker. ] I don't think they'd stand for anything that could hurt a cat anywhere that an animal could get to. There might be a few in hydroponics that they probably shouldn't get into - but you have to have I.R.I.S. to be able to cause the automated doors to open there.
[ ganymede flicks their I.R.I.S. aside, where they're half-leaned on the arm of one of the chairs in the lounge. they're facing the open space where the wide windows are, so were working with a galactic backdrop. ]
That's good to know. I'll pass that on to Mr. Starling, and to the other pet owners.
[strangely, his emotional vibe is not overly worried, or maybe even very concerned at all, but it is appreciative. like someone receiving an answer to a question would be. he moves closer to where ganymede is leaning,]
We've only had the one pet for a while, now, so it's interesting to have so many of them now. Amalthea can probably take a look at what we've got on board, plant-wise, to see, but these ones are just for air filtering and. Well. Looks.
[ their emotions are a sort of muted calm, but they do seem glad for the company since there's a bit of warmth underneath it. also a light interest in response to eunhyuk's being there. ]
Right now? Diagnostics for our life support and gravity systems. It's just routine overview rather than anything pressing, but it's good to make sure everything there is all set considering the Eudora's overall system update knocked things askew with the stasis bay doors and all.
[THERE REALLY ARE SO MANY PETS.... also wtf ganymede is so cute... i will trust them with my life.
eunhyuk can feel these emotions... but thankfully he has experienced people not being incredibly nervous or frightened around him that ganymede's emotions don't trigger confusion... that's growth.gif. instead, there's interest from his end too,]
[ SO MANY? more, somehow, than superhell's quantity of pets. but help i'm glad you think so... blushu
but they settle into something companionable, if muted, easily. no nerves here! proud of eunhyuk. ]
So far. We have a few systems that we're currently in the process of debugging, but they're minor things. Some of the restroom toilets are flushing on their own and kind of perpetually off and on, and the auto-cooks in the mess hall are a little laggy.
[ y'all fixated on the toilets so we're making you suffer for it ]
You ever run a defrag or virus scan on a computer before? It's kind of like that, it just needs help figuring out where it needs to be targeted to be most effective. Nothing you physically have to do unless they really break down.
[ they shift to bring up their wrist, swiping for their keyboard and typing in eunhyuk's hilarious callsign to pull up access filters for him. ]
[NOT HIS STUPID CALL SIGN!!! luckily, eunhyuk is distracted by this information to emotion share any embarrrassment,]
I haven't, but I think I understand what you mean.
[he will admit, he is a nerd but not even a useful computer one, but the concept is familiar]
I mostly read manuals and look at schematics to figure out whatever's going on with our water or electricity. And they're usually already broken down by then.
I can walk you through it - it can apply to a lot of parts of the system, and trickles down to less high key systems like a computer.
[ WHAT KIND OF NERD ARE YOU??? EUNHYUK!!!! (i love him i kiss his cheek) ]
Honestly, this situation isn't completely ideal for everyone, but there's some good things to take from it. You could probably take back some equipment so that you can replace or repair broken down equipment.
