[ There are many plants here. Much of it is food, but there's a small section of flowers (which is still large, but small considering the whole location). ]
No, it has been working, but I wanted to make some changes and upgrades to it before it was open to everyone.
It was mostly the layout! Some of it wasn't organized and convenient to maneuver through... Then I wanted to change the layout for the eel creek. I wanted to upgrade some of the technology, too... Mostly temperature regulation and water system.
[ She can see. There are plenty of recognizable flowers (normal) that could be bought from OmegaMart and then some alien-looking ones. ]
... Yes. When the manor was without a master, it would go somewhere else... And the place would go dark until someone shows up at the doorstep.
I don't know how long in between—it's hard to know until someone shows up and you piece context clues together. Usually, it's hundreds of years is the pattern I noticed.

The eel creek? [wat] You did a lot of work, then.
[is she gonna get yelled at if she touches the flowers...]
no subject
Yeah! That's what a lot of the in-ship food is made of.

She can touch them! They are safe. ]

... Eels?
[what.
anyway she wants one. are there any red geraniums (no) (unless) - she's looking for something unique that she can maybe take with her.]
no subject
[ There is actually one red geranium. ]
no subject
... I don't understand, have we been eating eel meat for weeks...
no subject
[ Nodding. Also, it's one red cluster, yeah. The other geraniums are various shakes of pink and purple. ]
no subject

It's not the same as at home... With land, but a garden is a garden, right?
[ She will carefully pick out a purple rose to give to her, too. It's a lab baby, but plants are plants. ]

A garden is a garden. It's a welcome bit of green among the grey steel.

[ Too sanitized? Eerie? ]
But I guess it's better than being in the dark for a very long time.
