[ Once they enter the library, they will find a familiar red sitting at one of the many grand tables. Settled on it is a data pad, left unused, with various books and actual physical journals as the Senior Crew member pours over it writing away.
Beside them is a staff set against the table, with a small bag placed against a stack of books. Though their helmet is off to join their things, there is still a hood pulled over that's seen as their head raises. A slight head tilt. ]
[ throné wants temenos to be nice - well, okay. actually, he doesn't really have any problems with metis, as long as metis is not presuming that he has feelings. because he has none of those. this is a very normal series of thoughts.
...anyway he dips his head in greeting, politely, and then glances over at the staff - it catches his attention immediately. ] Is that yours?
[ At the greeting he nods his head, before turning back to finishing up a bit of writing. Hardly minding his presence here. It is a very big library, after all.
Though the inquiry does get his attention, peering up and over at it. ] Aye, that it is. Something from my shard - home.
Aye. Though in my younger days I was but an Archer, I had taken up casting over time. A mixture of white magick with spells of restoration and purification, and black magick with offensive magic abilities by delving on unaspected spells. Though I am also capable of the defensive capabilities making use of a sword and shield, a Paladin.
[ A smile. ] You can say I'm a bit of an All-Rounder.

hmm... interesting. he listens to all of that, looking at the staff - he would've guessed white or black magic too, though in his realm it's under a different name. ]

If there is a means to save my people, yes. [ There's a notable pause, seen beneath the cover of his hood that he frowns. ] ..And yet, no, I was.. in the process of trying to save my shard before I was brought here.

...This place does have a tendency to drag us from moments of assured peril. [ same hat dawg his world too ] Or, at least enough of us that it is a pattern.
The one detail to bring some relief is that time does not continue on in our absence.
[ But a shake of his head. ] Not that it makes it easier on the heart and mind. I will continue to worry for my people back home. As I'm sure all of you will still worry and care for those you watch over left behind.
