Some nations have their gods among them actively, yes. Mine is an interesting case in that divine beings are known and time can be spent with them, and our god was known to have walked among the people in many disguises for thousands of years, but supposedly died rather recently.
I had never met mine, at least as far as I was aware, but I've encountered many a divine being. It does make belief a little easier, but it also makes it easier to acknowledge that they are still people at their core. Strange people that are disconnected from humanity, in some way, but people nonetheless.
Hmm. That does take the divinity down a notch. I don't think that's a bad thing. Truthfully, that's how we should see gods, in my opinion. They are not infallible. Nor are they all seeing. Nor do they solve every problem, if any at all. I'd quite like to sit and have a chat with one. We could discuss the infatigable length of said sermons and scriptures, at least.
They're still quite powerful in their divine ways, but seeing them in the flesh, so to speak, does bring them down. Makes it easier to hold them accountable for what they've done. Would you talk to your god, for that chat? The one you pray to for your holy powers.
I would, yes. Though, admittedly, that is what prayer tends to be. Or side conversation, really. I can't say I have not spoken with them one-sidedly many time, but only one has spoken to me. That being said, I think I'd have quite a bit to say to him.

Besides, were I doing so, I would merely be following his scriptures. Aelfric is the one who said so - the truth lies in the Flame. It would be practically sacrilege of me, to not question him.
Doubt is what I do - today included. ... I have no regrets, for pursuing the truth today. Whether it was what people wanted to hear or otherwise, it was what needed to be found.
Truth can often be unkind. But it's more unkind to leave it buried and forgotten, I believe. No justice, no understanding for what has happened. No closure. No peace. None of it brings the dead back, and here we are, left to survive, but at least they can be laid to rest with the knowledge that the truth was found. What we do, what Lee does, is now up to us.
Only danger can be found in ignorance, in my opinion.
I think that would be fine to have done, in the stasis bay. So long as it doesn't obstruct the walking areas or any of the equipment, memorials could be made for the dead at their pods.
I suppose I could put something together, on Monday. Perhaps some flowers. Someone placed lilies, I heard? It seems as if our dossier points somewhere with a bit more nature than before. I'll see what I can find.
There are flowers in the OmegaMart, apparently, in a walk-in cool storage to keep them fresh. Cuttings only, though. I believe that's where the lilies came from. Anoria has a bazaar, however, where you might be able to get live plants. We can also requisition them for you if needed.
