[ Hello. In this hallway, a seamless panel lifts up and unveils some weaponry that is housed within the walls of the Eudora. The digital panel that lists the state of this node says MAINTENANCE MODE, so it is safe to handle without fear of it going off and shooting a hole.

Callisto holds out an oiling canteen. It is very animal crossing-looing. ]

[ hello. shu looks at the canteen and then at callisto. and then at the canteen. (animal crossing noises) ]

[ With a touch to the digital panel, it starts showing the parts that may need a bit of lubing. A little oil, please. This mechanical arm is just a metal flower... Thirsty... ]

no. he'll just shrug and do the lubricating of what needs to be l u b e d. much to what i am assuming is callisto's delight, he doesn't make any real conversation while doing this, other than indicating when a weapon has been fully l u b e d ]

[ In the sensation soup, Shu will definitely find that Callisto is pleased by the silence and to see the mechanical arm be oiled where it should be.

The digital panel shows the areas that may need to be wiped down a bit after oiling. Too much oil is not good, too. ]

[ the sensation soup.... of chill emotions among those who do not speak much. shu will wipe off the excess oil as well. he knows the importance of maintaining weapons. ]

[ now callisto has to talk. ]

[ The digital panel gives a thumbs up approval of the amount of oil this arm got. It retracts back into the wall, then the cover panel itself locks back into place. The wall has no seams, no signs that it ever cracked open to show its insides. ]

[ They talk barely. ]

The other nodes were taken care of by other crew members.

[ Which the vibes are mildly surprised by. ]

Maybe they were entranced by your one word orders.

[ or, more likely, they’re all antsy and want something to do. and there are a lot of fighters here. maybe we were all looking for guns. ]

It was efficient and made it easier for me to account for those who may have malicious intent.

[ LIKE STEALING GUNS! Except these are such massive and heavy cannons no one can take them. They are just paranoid, though. ]

So, if someone tried to run off with the giant, bulky, near impossible to move cannons, they'd be on your shit list?

It is near impossible for any of you to take these weapons, but intention is important to note.

So, if anyone eyes the weapons for too long they're a problem.

Even if we have to use them in the future?

Manual operation is a last resort. Automatic mode is primary.

So, no danger on planets. Or are we just on our own if something goes wrong?

You will all be supplied with items that will help you on each planet, but the likelihood of anything going wrong during work hours is slim.

Venture out and do something unnecessary will draw consequences, but if they are smart they won't tangle themselves in intergalactic law.

[ that feels like aggressively tempting fate, but-- it's not like he can wrestle a weapon attached to the ship away from callisto and smuggle it somewhere anyway. ]

And if they're not, then we cross that bridge when we come to it.

[ But the vibe is annoyed at the inconvenience. ]

Helpful if we end up in a "split-second-between-life-and-death" situation.

If you're a split second from death, you would be a split second from death but with a gun.
