It malfunctioned when I went on the mission with Temenos, Owner, Kazuki, and Todomatsu, obviously, but I believe that was due to the energy being given off by the cause of the problems on that planet. What caused the spatial storm.

This... wouldn't surprise me if it was the ship.

... The ship is doing something, I think we all know that now. That they can lock you out of things, override your access and apparently knock you out-- that's not us doing it, and it's not one of you doing that I'm guessing.

So, the ship's the only thing left.

No. Callisto was unaffected, but there are likely other reasons for that. [ no, she will not elaborate - right now. she moves to ease herself down into a swing, taking a long drag off her gifted cigarette as she lolls her head back. ] He was just as trapped as we were, despite not being incapacitated.

We've ruled out nanites, although I know there's bound to be more tests done. There's nothing in the system that we can find. So it comes down to the ship hiding it from us.

I'd think, given it could knock you out and trap the only one of you not actually unconscious, that the ship could easily be hiding stuff from you.

It's locked us out and in for weeks, now. Denied our overrides.

Kidnapped those of us that tried to stay on-station, Thursday. Even looking at the security recordings I can't say I know for sure where those tendrils came from. Wherever it's hidden things, it's built in.

The noise it made too. It kinda sounded alive -- like one of those deep sea recordings you hear that haunt your nightmares for a long time afterwards.

I... can't say I've ever heard something like that, specifically, before, but we have all manner of beasts in Teyvat that make horrible enough noises. Similar enough ones.

Metis always has trouble with his, with all the coverage he has. But Thebe and Amalthea... theirs are internal.

Ah, so if something happens to it it's a lot harder to fix than a limb.

We were hoping we could get a fully upgraded recovery pod, because we could maybe start sessions where we could rebuild lost limbs... organs... whatever someone was missing. But we haven't managed to find any on the stops so far.

... right, I know Metis mentioned looking for a fourth pod. Was that meant to be the upgraded one?

We were hoping so. [ massaging her forehead a little. ] Maybe on one of our next planets, before the hub...

But I'm not particularly optimistic about the hub in general.

We've only got the heavy gravity one you mentioned and whatever's after that. No clue what to expect from the hub, other than bad things.
