Incredibly lucky. Even if I have no idea what it all means. But does that mean you think it's possible something else like this can happen when I pick the next path? I'm not even sure what to do with this right now.
[ since he cannot tell anyone and does not plan to. ]
It's a possibility, it's happened once already so, I would not say it's impossible. [ A head tilt, pondering... ] ... If you do so anonymously, it should be fine for you to share this finding. As long as it doesn't connect back to you and potentially risk telling your role, it should be fine.
[ Shoma voice: I'll keep all this information here and one day I'll die ]
...it's too risky right now without knowing what this actually is. And also, I'm not sure how to do it anonymously unless I, like, write individual notes to shove in people's lockers or tape to their doors or something.
It is ultimately your decision in the end. [ So they will not push. ] Hmmm.. An idea is we could have the drones that normally deliver requested items drop off written notes to the lockers. Someone you think would be a good candidate for sharing with others.
[ They move to raise their cup to drink with their left arm now, keeping their mechanical right in their lap. ]
I have a few people I can think of who're nosy enough, at least. [ tiredly. ] But that's...really not a bad idea. If something else comes up, I'll have to see if they can be tied together and write up a new transcript myself.
Is it really all that surprising? You are essentially trapped here until we can return you home, ideally sooner rather than when the tour concludes. [ Their helmet turns, looking towards the screens on display that are on standby. ] I for one would never think to abandon anyone in their hour of need.
..As a bridge between your crew and everything else, we should make right of things.
[ for most people, no, that would probably not be surprising, but there have been too many people in shoma's life who have managed to take advantage of his vulnerability and need for seeking answers. so. it's a slow process of learning that the world isn't actually a hellscape all the time. ]
...I can respect that. Even if it's kind of your job, I think there's a difference between having to do something and wanting to.
[ That's fair, after all they would not know his experiences, what he has had to face before, they can only provide their own thoughts as they are. ]
People should always come first before a job. [ Though a thought comes to mind. ] ..A time when work would be more important is when matters lie on delivering medical supplies - for those in need.
[ But they shake their head, that is neither here nor there. ] In any case, is there anything else you would like to talk about?
If only everyone thought that way. [ but that's a seemingly odd little interjection, but not one that goes unnoticed. ] In a way, that's still putting people first, Metis. Especially if the supplies are needed.
[ but he shakes his head, too. ]
Nothing really work-related, no. [ ... ] Although I did want to ask. Why did you join the Eudora?
[ At that, they curiously tilt their head and seem to ponder. ]
...Knowledge would be the straightforward answer. An opportunity to delve into research. However, it's mostly to find a means to save my and other worlds back home. With how much more advanced the technology, the travels are here, I had thought I would surely find a means to help home. To protect the people.
Ah... not necessarily. Though, one of them used to be plagued by a kind of sickness - one in the form of infectious creatures but. [ Seems as though that has been dealt with. A shake of their head, voice distant. ]
Someone seeks a means to rejoin the worlds, but doing so will bring a calamity upon them. All those civilizations, people... all life would be lost were that to happen. And if time is frozen for even a moment while I am here, mayhap I can find the means to avoid such a fate.
...so basically someone wants to reset everything, but doing it would really wipe the slate clean. And none of those people would have any say in it or any chance of survival. Why? What's the point of rejoining the worlds?
[ i say, looking at this same plot that happens in kingdom hearts. ]
The worlds as they are now are mere shards, pieces of what once was whole. An imperfection in their eyes as are the people who currently live on these shards. By rejoining, they hope to return it as it once was. A means to return things as they were in the beginning. [ A breath. ] ..So I had surmised, that if I can find a way with research here, I may just thwart those plans. To protect those lives - to protect my people.
They don't even know if it'd work and they want to try this? That's really stupid. [ just flat out. ] ...I think that might be one of the only good arguments for being on pause. People's lives shouldn't be destroyed just because someone has an idea of how they think the world should be.
[ A nod, sometimes people cannot be spoken with to change their minds.. ]
It is precisely why I wish to find a means to save not just my Shard, but the Source. "Worlds" as others would refer to them. ..Though, as of late, I have been considering returning back. Mayhap a means to saving them had been there all along.
...I don't think it's bad to return home and try to work from there. If the company isn't giving you what you're hoping for, it's probably easier to keep trying when you're closer to the source.

...are you okay?

Just a small headache.

Why do you think it was sent to me?

Hmmm.. It could have been a lucky stray signal, picked up from the path we had gone through? I couldn't really say.

You mean like...just pick one person and have them do the sharing for me? And just pretend I don't know about it?
[ he is watching their right arm, actually. ]
no subject
Precisely that. Someone you confidently feel may share with others. Have it spread along that way with none the wiser to know the true source.
