One knew of the monster's innocent and child-like desire to see the world and the other only knew she was its prey.
Two others(Lux Crownguard & Kon Shinonome) are on the search for a woman's missing husband... Likewise, for their missing friends.
All four would join together, unraveling the tragedy of a monster who wanted to be human, of the people of the town it consumed in the abandoned ship, and how love is a strange thing. It's beautiful, ugly, but it is worth knowing. It is worth suffering.
Vash only takes a moment to watch, though his expression shows obvious pain to see those who suffer, but they must carry on. Onto the next, the scene changes.
A nation at a millennia-long war against dragons seeks to end it. The kindest, gentlest death holds them close and comforts them, telling them that they can finally rest, but these heroes struggle. They clutch onto hope. They say despair will not hold them hostage and revenge has no place in their hearts.
