WEEK 5

GATE FIVE

CHURCH
With a green-white glow coming from this room, it almost seems like the complete opposite of a place one would go for spiritual peace.

Large stained glass windows cover the walls, depicting scenes of hands coming together, intertwined with vine-like structures, and groups of humanoid figures happily reveling with one another. Rows of pews are lined up facing the dais where there is no altar, but rather, a podium.

Atop the podium are a few things: there is a book where you may anonymously write your wishes or prayers, a small dish for alms, and at the foot of it, a basket for larger offerings. The offerings and the box disappear on Sundays and return bright and early Monday mornings.

ENGINEERING

Engineering is a thrumming beast of a room full of everything that makes the ship run. The equipment in here is pretty complex and definitely way over your head—in fact, you might say it's straight up out of this world. The jump drive is here for intergalactic travel, along with the planetary surveying sensors, inertial dampening equipment, defensive shield generator, and fuel processor. There are also emergency hull patch kits in here as well. The majority of these complicated machines are tamper-proof, with security glass that is shatterproof and unremovable, placed over sensitive buttons and levers. Looks like you don't have clearance for much else but to :person_standing: in here.

CONCOURSE: THE SPLASH ZONE
With a rush of water and the smell of chlorine in the air, the water park, otherwise known as The Splash Zone, is a sprawling retreat where you can spend your day racing down the high speed slide that lands in a massive pool at the end and takes you through all sorts of loops. If you prefer to take things a little more slowly, there's always the lazy river with large inner tubes for both groups and individuals stacked up high with a sign that says "take one!"

Not interested in the actual rides? Don't worry. There are plenty of stands with pre-made alcoholic beverages (which will turn non-alcoholic for those with a preference or for those under the local drinking age), cotton candy, hot dogs, and more. If any food ends up in the water, it mysteriously dissolves without a trace.

CONCOURSE: DESERT BIOME

Hot, dry air is the first thing to hit your face, followed by the sight of miles of desert, studded with sprawling cacti and whatever else thrives in dry, arid climes. Small lizards and snakes poke their heads out from time to time to skitter across your shoes and the smell on the air is perhaps a little stale, but doing its best to mimic the atmosphere of a real desert.

If you walk far enough, you may find an oasis located in the center, though it seems like no matter how far you actually do walk with purpose towards it... you can never seem to reach it.

THE CONCOURSE

Note: Please be aware that the rooms are not to scale. They are for spatial awareness of each location. Each location's capacity is designated by a color ranging from green (small, accommodating a group of 1-5 max. In case of the crew capsules, this is per capsule), blue (medium, accommodating a group of 6-15), and purple (large, accommodating a group of 15-the entire crew).
