WEEK 4

THE RECYCLING PLANT
While the Scrap Yard holds the majority of the junk, there is a room where specifically recyclable, compostable, and burnable garbage is taken care of. There is a dumbwaiter system that allows for the passage of a bundle of items one at a time to move through the chute. Unfortunately, upon raising the platform higher than a foot, a mechanism will set whatever is on the platform on fire, thus incinerating its contents.

Rat Race
A space for the more jock-oriented to get their fitness in. In addition to normal equipment like weights, a climbing wall, and resistance bands, there is a large maze smack-dab in the middle. Test your cardio and puzzle-solving skills alike! If you make it through in time, you even get rewarded with the best prize a little lab rat could ask for: a lovely piece of cheese. Lastly, a pool snakes around the room like a long river, in case the passionate spirit of swimming takes hold of you. Swim free.

666 Night Market

There may be no moons or stars to light the night here, but there are no end of lanterns and string lights to illuminate the numerous stalls selling their various wares. In half the of the stalls, any number of delectable Asian fares can be found. From baozi to dumplings to cheesy corndogs to all kinds of tea, as long as it can be found in an Asian food market or streetside, it's here. But don't forget to take a closer look at some of offered foods.... as some of them dango sticks may actually be finger sticks instead. Or fingers that are also (cold and uncooked) hot dogs?

In the other half of the stalls is a great selection of clothes to peruse, ranging from modern styles to those found in ancient history. From bright and casual to sleek and elegant, there is something for any occasion. Even for the nerds who want clear pockets for their pocket protectors.

Bootanical Gardens
These gardens are picturesque and look as if they've come right out of a fairytale. There are flowers as far as the eye can see. Paved paths can take you under gorgeous wisteria arches, alongside babbling creeks and clear streams bordered by cherry blossom tress, towards large koi ponds, or to delightfully decorated gazebos. There may even be tables set up here and there for anyone to enjoy a quaint tea party with deliciously brewed tea and snacks to go with it. Where does the tea service come from? Don't think too hard about how clean six foot rats are.

However, if you stay in one spot too long, a breeze will blow past carrying the faint whispers of someone you dearly miss or someone you hope never to see again. Sometimes, if you look at the leaves and branches swaying in the wind, they'll appear to be tendrils of flesh. Blink and you'll miss it, so don't blink!

Épc*t

Épc*t is a lovely little pavilion, with a ceiling made to look like a fake, blue sky, and buildings that are inspired by a quaint French neighborhood. The cafes there come stocked with coffee, wine, suspicious meat, and a small tea selection, but the bipedal serving mice will judge you for ordering tea. Otherwise, there's a tall tower that is definitely not a rip-off of the Eiffel tower, with a staircase and lift that allows people to visit the top of it. Meat clings romantically to its magnificent metal trusses.

In the center of the square, there is also a statue of a giant rat who has fulfilled his culinary dreams—wait, is that sanitary?
